Builders

Are you an educator (teaching Unity, game design, 3D graphics, UI/UX, databases, networking, security, etc.) wishing to provide your students with real-world building experience alongside a team of experienced developers?

Take a look at our Current Collaborations and then let’s craft a project together that benefits you, your students, and learners across the world.

Are you an educator?

Curio partners with educators to build new VR features, tools and content as part of college classes. We also partner with educators who have a VR idea who need help getting it built. Whether you already have an idea for a project, are interested in exploring ideas from the Curio roadmap, or are interested in connecting with subject matter experts on an idea, we can help.

Are you an educator with an idea to build, but no budget or developers to pay for it?

Partnership Opportunities

Curio partners with college courses to build new features, tools, or content as part of their coursework. Students gain practical experience that will elevate their resumes and portfolios with substantial, credible work that sets them apart. Whether your students work in Unity, 3D animation software (ex. Blender, Maya 3DS Max, etc.), or a related language, there are ways we can partner and build together.

Whether you already have an idea for a project, are interested in exploring options from the Curio roadmap, or would prefer being paired with a subject matter expert on your campus—or even from another campus—we have an endless number of opportunities available.

Student / School Offerings

  • Students can cite real, professionally-produced work on resumes and portfolios.
  • Students receive recognition both within the Curio XR app and on the Curio website, ensuring that their contributions are credibly attributed. This also helps potential employers confidently identify and attribute the work to its creators.
  • Throughout the process, students and Curio’s lead developers share a dedicated Slack Channel (or other tool) to facilitate real-time feedback and support.
  • We provide comprehensive access to the software development kit (SDK), fostering a deeper understanding of the application.
  • Complete documentation of a globally used, live application is available, showcasing real-world application and operation.
  • For those students currently learning Unity, they get to code in an existing environment, gaining hands-on experience with professional tools and practices.
  • After the project ends, we maintain the code, ensuring students’ contributions remain relevant and can be showcased in portfolios and job applications well into the future
